The camera was pretty easy to set up and the video quality is great. But the first couple times we used it, I noticed that the food was disappearing very quickly from the feeder (like 1/2 the food gone in an hour). I realized that the base leaks terribly and so it’s draining the food really quickly. Super disappointing, because now the patio is a sticky mess and the darn thing needs to be refilled very frequently. Also, the bird identification is WAY off - it IDs birds that we don’t have anywhere near where we live (or even in this country 🙄). I love the idea of this feeder, but the functionality is lacking.
I got the smart hummingbird feeder, but after a few weeks, it stopped detecting anything and stopped recording. I contacted the company customer support. They did some troubleshooting and ended up sending me a replacement camera free of charge. This one is working great. Best customer service I have come across. Thank you....
it's a nice feeder. The camera is good enough. The app works but feels very slow to connect to the camera and watch videos. The battery lasts forever, as it barely consumes battery and the solar panel keeps charging it.The one thing I don't like is that there's wind in my garden that moves the feeder and that activates the video recording. So I end up with a bunch of empty videos. It'd be nice to have a better more stable way to hang and hold it.
We absolutely Love this feeder! The amazing videos of the stunningly beautiful birds brightens our day! The feeder is easy to clean and even takes a very clear video even in the dark!
This is a great camera - both in quality of video and the awesome solar supply. The hummers love it and go from different color flowers to taste the same nectar. Love the fact that videos save until we view them and the sound of their wings is awesome. Also love the hummingbird identifier option. I'm glad I upgraded to this camera with solar power. It was super easy to set up with wifi and even with high winds last night, it's still intact. Easy to clean and change out the nectar too. Overall a five-star purchase!
