This is a very nice and durable looking feeder. Following the video to put the feeder together made assembly very easy and swift. You do need to charge the camera completely before use and that can take up to 4 hrs. Once charged the installation of the camera and downloading of the app is needed. The instructions for this were very helpful. You need to have a WiFi of 2.5G as it will not connect to 5G. The feeder is well made and heavy. Especially filled with seed and the camera. It is easy to mount and comes with several different mounting options and tools such as Screwed Into a wall or pole mount, tied around a tree, or clamped onto a pole. Putting seed into the feeder is simple and it holds a lot. The camera picture and video are adorable and clear. The app alerts you when a bird is at the feeder so you can watch and capture a picture. It automatically records the bird for about 20 seconds. It also has an option on the app for an alarm if the camera sees an animal other than a bird, like a squirrel, and will go off in order to scare the squirrel away. You do not have to turn this option on. The app also has options for paid cloud storage and services but you can use the app without that. You can also download and share your videos free.

This is a terrific smart bird feeder. I have experience with one from Bird Buddy and this one is far superior in almost every way which I will point out later. This arrived well packaged and very simple to assemble, just a couple of screws to affix the perch. It is made of a thick high quality material which will no doubt stand up to the elements. It came with excellent instructions and access to useful videos. So assembly was a breeze.Options for mounting include onto wall or post, pole (clamps included), or even onto a tree (via quality strap to go around tree). I mounted on deck post. You need to install bracket on back of feeder with 4 screws into perfectly placed pre-drilled holes. You do need to make sure bracket has wider openings for mounting screws oriented toward bottom of feeder so you can slip secured bracket over the two screws you put into post or wall. The solar panel installs easily per instructions.Pairing camera with home internet always a challenge for me but this one was EASY! I just followed directions and it was all set up in 10 minutes. Their app is excellent. And the result- I’m going to need a bigger bag of seed! I get more than 100 videos a day, recording very sharp high definition videos. I had to turn the notification sound off on my phone which the app allows because of the number of visitors. The solar panel keeps the battery charged and it has stayed charged. I have not elected to purchase the bird identification service yet as we recognize most of the birds we see on the feeder but will consider it ($72 per year, a bit steep). And that brings me to the couple of ways this feeder falls short of Bird Buddy. Due to top door opening to refill, you can‘t hang this from a shepherd’s hook or similar bracket. With separate solar panel it would be a pain to remove feeder from its mounting since you would need to disconnect solar charging wire from camera- not hard just another step. So mount where you can refill through top easily. The biggest difference and greatest drawback is that this feeder only records 20 seconds of video per bird visit. BUT, not bad considering how many videos I get in a day! I‘m not missing much!Overall this is a terrific, easy to use bird feeder with loads of great features and wonderful video clarity and sound (you hear them cracking the sunflower seeds- pretty neat.) It is well constructed of quality materials and I expect it to last for years.Highly recommend. Photo of feeder and one of many videos attached.

A bird feeder with a camera is any bird lovers dream! It‘s so fun to keep up with all my different bird visitors. The AI feature helps you identify what type they are. You will get phone notifications when your feeder has motion detected. There is also a feature to expel squirrels and other unwanted creatures. You can pick from 3 different alarms sure, dog barking or eagle noises. I can vouch for its effectiveness!!Quality of the feeder itself is great! Seems solid and like it will last the test of time. Easy to refill with seed. Top pops right off. Runs off solar panel which is handy! There are a few cons, with the app in particular. It freezes and crashes often. You have to pay 8 bucks a month for the AI bird recognition and cloud storage to work. I currently have 2 bird feeders from this brand and they expect me to pay separately 8 a month (16 $) to use features that should be able to work on both of them. Plus it incorrectly identifies birds more often than not. Much easier to just reverse image search them yourself.

This bird feeder is huge! (You can see the size of the feeder based off the size of the Cardinal perched on it and the Chickadee eating in it) It has a mesh screen bottom (other feeder makers should take note!) so rain drains easily. The top opens easily for refills. The app was a bit of a mess to setup but is easy to use once you get used to it. It does record 20 second videos on motion detection. I put a different bracket on the back to attach to a pole and used the bracket that came with it to support the weight of the of the feeder again the pole. I attached the solar panel to the back to make it easier to bring inside during storms.
This feeder has impressive technology. So cool that when the birds fly up we get to see them up close and personal but then also via the app you can identify which birds you're looking at. Very educational, especially if you have kids or Grands. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Great quality build. I am just really impressed by this feeder! Well worth purchasing.
